See you in San Antonio!

I've got my bags packed, Lady Dazzleton has her favorite traveling tiara, and we're set to fly off to Texas before 0 Dark Thirty tomorrow!

Preparing for RWA Nationals has been a hectic whirlwind of making decorations for the FF&P Gathering (a fabulous party the Fantasy, Futuristic, and Paranormal chapter throws every year), getting edits completed (not quite there, but I will be!), and making sure the family gets a meal every so often (total fail on this one. Super hubby to the rescue!).

This year I'm doing more, seeing more, and experiencing the entire conference like never before. I'm going to as many parties as I can, volunteering a few times, and meeting with an editor from Harlequin, and a very cool agent. Fingers crossed they love my romantic suspense.

And I have a new roommate. Callene Rapp has never been to a RWA Conference before and she's rooming with ME. Oh, that poor girl. We're going to get into some serious mischief. But before you start thinking it's all play and no work, there are so many fabulous workshops to attend, I'll be dizzy from running to them all.

If you'll be in San Antonio, let's get together!

I'll be posting TONS of pictures and anecdotes from the conference on my facebook page. If you haven't liked it yet, now's a good time to jump in on all the fun. Here's a handy link to help you out. 🙂

Sleep well, my darlings. Tomorrow we'll be in Texas, y'all! Yeehaw!

Here's a teaser pic of Lady D with her Steampunk/cowgirl costume. Do you think she needs the tutu? I do! (The little hat on the side is what I'll be wearing to The Gathering. I think I'm in love with Steampunk, now.) I made the goggles and Lady D's hat. It was way too much fun.

I’ll be there too Tameri. Your conference dance card sounds exactly like mine and my roomie is also an RWA conference virgin. I am also volunteering this year. I’ll be moderating a class late in the day on Saturday. Between the parties (which I’ve finally been invited to) and the workshops and the pitching, I think I’ll be a walking zombie by Sunday.

I’ll check FB frequently to see if I can pinpoint where you might be. Perhaps we can meet up, say hello and exchange a hug, even if it’s just in passing in the corridors.

Have fun. I’ll be flying in on Wednesday.

SO wish I was gonna be there this year!! I had plans that were interrupted by the dog hip. BUT I’m expecting all of you to cheer extra loud for Laura Drake at the RITAs to make up for my absence. 🙂

      Have fun!

You should swing by Tulsa on the way back. 😛 I’m literally 1/2 mile from the airport, so we could totally squeeze in a visit over a layover.

*hugs* Hope you have fun and learn lots! I love the steampunk costume for Lady D!

I just got the notice that you posted this. Hmmm…. A little late, but here I am.

Seeing you in San Antonio was so wonderful!! And I loved meeting Callene, too. Thanks for letting me hang out with you! <3

The party decorations were gorgeous, too!
